It is not necessary to get a referral from your physician, as primary care providers, your physiotherapist is able to assess and treat you for your condition without requiring a referral. Please note that if you have extended health care, your insurance company may require a physician referral in order to cover you for the cost of your assessment and/or treatments. If you have coverage, it is best to contact your insurance company to ensure you are aware of what may be required.
Even though your physician may have suggested that you attend a specific clinic, you are indeed able to choose the clinic that you would like to attend.
It is best if you wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing so that you are able to expose the area that we will be assessing and treating. For example: if you have a concern about your knee it is best to wear shorts.
We currently treat individuals looking to receive care under MVA claims, however we do not treat individuals looking to receive care under WSIB.
During your assessment both you and your physiotherapist will determine the appropriate frequency for your sessions to ensure that you meet your goals of therapy.
Yes, Kinetic Physiotherapy has 3 registered physiotherapists, each registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Sessions at Kinetic Physiotherapy are not covered by OHIP, we are not a designated OHIP clinic. In order to receive physiotherapy that is covered by OHIP, you must attend a designated OHIP physiotherapy clinic.
We do not direct bill for your sessions, and we require payment at each sessions. Once you pay for your sessions, we will provide you with an invoice that you may submit to your insurance company.
