At Kinetic Physiotherapy we believe in creating a holistic approach to our assessments and treatments. Too often the body is not regarded as a whole, but more as separate parts, therefore only the areas of pain or concern are addressed. Having graduated from the Physiotherapy program at McMaster University, where all aspects of therapy are supported by high levels of research, Christina melded her extensive Physiotherapy skills with her certifications and knowledge of Baron Baptiste’s power yoga, Hatha yoga, and STOTT Pilates.
Kinetic Physio Yoga Therapy (PYT) and Physio Pilates Therapy (PPT) are programs that extend our therapy services beyond manual therapy, modalities, and exercise therapy. This method is used to restore, maintain, and maximize your strength, function, movement and overall well being; as well as empower individuals to take their therapy into their own hands and help them transform their body into an ultimate state of health.
PYT and PPT benefits:
Increases core strength and endurance, postural awareness, joint stabilization, and flexibility. It increases blood flow to help speed up the healing process as well as increasing circulation. Increases proprioception and balance, as well as reducing stress, anxiety, and shortness of breath. It is also used to help prevent injuries.
Conditions treated:
Pre-habilitation- preventing injuries before they occur. Musculoskeletal- arthritis, herniated disc, instability, frozen shoulder, low back pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, rotator cuff injuries, sprains/strains, and much more. Other Conditions: Stroke, MS, depression/anxiety, cardiorespiratory conditions
